JOHN PRIMER – HEADLINER
John Primer has undisputedly helped build the sound and style of Chicago blues as we know it today. The echoes of tradition bellowing from the birthplaces he played such as Maxwell Street, Theresa’s, Checkerboard and Rosa’s Lounges, pulse from every chord in his fingers today. John Primer is a 3 time Grammy® Nominated, Blues Hall of Fame, Living Legend.
Growing up on Mississippi sharecropper land in 1945, inspired by his family’s hard work and field songs daily, deep devotion to spirituals on Sundays, and blues on Saturdays. John dreamed of one day playing with the legendary Muddy Waters!
Moving to Chicago in 1963, he started on that path of becoming a great bluesman, getting his first steady gig working for tips at the legendary Maxwell Street in Chicago on Sunday’s with the Pat Rushing Band. He quickly became noticed and was hired at the famous Theresa’s Lounge working for The Junior Wells Band (the house band), seven nights a week for seven years! John was taught by all the Master’s of the blues. He worked hard and impressed Willie Dixon enough to go on tour with him and his Chicago Blues All-Stars Band. At this point he was known, and John’s dream finally came true in late 1979 when he got to play with his idol, Muddy Waters! Muddy called for him to lead his band and changed his life forever. John was touring all over the world and opening up the show for the Rolling Stones and meeting and playing with many famous Blues and Rock & Roll musicians. After Muddy’s untimely death in 1983, he joined up with Magic Slim & The Teardrops for the next 13 years, traveling all over the world, bringing Chicago Blues to every corner of the planet. Many people had never heard Blues before!
John paid his dues and in 1995 he began leading his own band, The Real Deal Blues Band. He has recorded more than 100 albums with 17 albums in his own name. He has written and produced more than 55 songs on more than 6 record labels including his own, Blues House Productions. John was inducted into the Blues Hall of Fame, has earned 3 Grammy® Award nominations, was given 2 Lifetime Achievement Awards, awarded the “Muddy Award” for being a Traditional Blues Icon, winning several Blues Music Awards and Blues Blast Awards as well as many other awards. Coming from very humble beginnings, he has managed to work very hard to get where he is today. He takes pride in mentoring so many incredible musicians. He is keeping the blues alive and is a Legendary Blues Icon!

CHRIS O’LEARY
Chris’s musical background includes duties as lead singer and front man for rock and roll hall of famer and Grammy award winner Levon Helm’s band, The Barnburners. During the 6 years that Chris and Levon played together they toured across the US and Canada lighting up stages everywhere they went. Chris has appeared on stage with: Legendary Rolling Stones sideman Bobby Keys, The Fabulous Thunderbirds, Jimmy Vivino, Jeff Healy, Dan Akroyd, Albert Lee, Dave Edmunds, Dave Maxwell and the great James Cotton to name just a few. Chris has also recorded with Bill Perry and Hubert Sumlin, among others.
The Chris O’Leary Band’s debut CD “Mr. Used to Be” won the 2011 Best New Artist Debut CD Blues Blast Award and was nominated for best new artist debut at the 2011 American Blues Music Awards.
RICK BERTHOD
Rick plays a vintage Fender or a Gibson Lucille guitar autographed to him by B.B. King.
Rick has shared the stage with B.B. King, Gregg Allman, John Mayall ,Les Dudek & Savoy Brown on several occasions and with Robben Ford, Etta James, The Yardbirds, Janiva Magness, Chris Duarte, J.J. Cale, Debbie Davies, Delbert McClinton,Robby Kreiger, Coco Montoya, Pat Travers, Peter Wolfe, William Clark, Rod Piazza, Guitar Shorty, Eric Sardinas,Tinsley Ellis & Joe Houston.

The SHAEYLYN BAND
The Shaelyn Band is a Florida based, national recording and touring band capable of shifting from classic soul blues and funk to rock. With their highly energized live show, The Shaelyn Band has built a strong reputation of bringing passion, heartfelt stories and a vibrant
production of professionalism to the stage. The band formed in 2020, and has continued to develop and grow through these past few years, building on the foundation of family first and sharing genuine love with each and every
heart they connect with on their musical journey. On September 9th, 2022, The Shaelyn Band released their self titled album “The Shaelyn
Band”. The album delivers an array of emotions with its various songs of experience like,
“Good Time”, “Always You”, “Stay Home Love” and “Just Can’t Leave” to name a few. Listeners are able to dance their cares away, reclaim their lives and destiny, as well as receive
encouragement and take a moment to simply reflect on the joys of love and life. On October 18th, 2023, The Shaelyn Band released their second album titled “Juke Joint!”
The new album really takes you back to the good ole’ juke joint days of backwoods energy. Songs like “Fake Love”, “Saturday” and “Blues Storm” really bring the grooving vibes of the South to the world through passionate growls and raspy vocals, as well as synchronized
harmonies. The Shaelyn Band is continuing to move and groove the hearts of the music lovers with detailed lyrics and dynamic intros at each and every show they perform. The impactful band strives to continue making their name grand in the blues industry while gracing all stages,
great and small, across the nation.
Nic Turner & Ronnie McBrayer
No mystery to who Prodigal Blues is to Northwest Florida. Organised years ago for the purpose of recording all of Nic Turner’s originals on an CD. With a concentration on Melodic Blues Guitar, Nic has been influenced by guitar masters Gary Moore, Carlos Santana, and David Gilmore. The current album is scheduled for release in march, 2026
Nic is joined on the album with vocalist Ronnie McBrayer. Ronnie’s voice is as smooth as whisky and filled with soul! Nic and Ronnie have played countless shows together over several years and are excited about the first release of “PRODIGAL BLUES”

CAT DADDY (Jim Richmond)
The award-winning Blues performer Jim Richmond, better known as Cat Daddy, has been bringing the blues to the Florida/Alabama Gulf Coast since 2010.
Cat Daddy and his band earned top honors as winners of the 2022 Blues Society of Northwest Florida’s Regional Blues Challenge, and in 2023 they advanced through the second round of the Quarter Finals at the International Blues Challenge in Memphis, Tennessee.
Over the years, Cat Daddy has entertained Blues fans across the South, lighting up stages at Ground Zero Blues Club in Biloxi, numerous Pensacola venues, The Forgotten Music Festival, Blues on Reid in Port St. Joe, The Chipley Music Festival, Blues on 30A in Destin, Blues Master Tribute in Foley, AL, The Sound of the Blues Festival, and the legendary Bradfordville Blues Club in Tallahassee.
Nick Turner of Bluezer’s LLC dubbed him “The Gentleman of the Blues”—a fitting title for a blues artist whose repertoire stretches from soul-stirring originals to timeless classics. His performances pay homage to legends like the Three Kings—B.B., Freddie, and Albert—along with Muddy Waters, Stevie Ray Vaughan, and Eric Clapton.
