The award-winning Blues performer Jim Richmond, better known as Cat Daddy, has been bringing the blues to the Florida/Alabama Gulf Coast since 2010. CAT DADDY will be performing with two other bands on Sunday March 29th: Three Time GRAMMY NOMINEE JOHN PRIMER and Award Winning CHRIS O’LEARY.
Cat Daddy and his band earned top honors as winners of the 2022 Blues Society of Northwest Florida’s Regional Blues Challenge, and in 2023 they advanced through the second round of the Quarter Finals at the International Blues Challenge in Memphis, Tennessee.
Over the years, Cat Daddy has entertained Blues fans across the South, lighting up stages at Ground Zero Blues Club in Biloxi, numerous Pensacola venues, The Forgotten Music Festival, Blues on Reid in Port St. Joe, The Chipley Music Festival, Blues on 30A in Destin, Blues Master Tribute in Foley, AL, The Sound of the Blues Festival, and the legendary Bradfordville Blues Club in Tallahassee.
Nick Turner of Bluezer’s LLC dubbed him “The Gentleman of the Blues”—a fitting title for a blues artist whose repertoire stretches from soul-stirring originals to timeless classics. His performances pay homage to legends like the Three Kings—B.B., Freddie, and Albert—along with Muddy Waters, Stevie Ray Vaughan, and Eric Clapton.
